Tokyo, Nov. 1 (NHK) -- Nintendo, a well-known Japanese game console company headquartered in Tokyo, said it sold 1.95 million new Nintendo Switch Lite, a small home game console, in just 10 days.
Nintendo released its interim accounting report for april-september on Oct. 31.The Nintendo Switch Lite, which went on sale on Sept. 20, sold 1.95 million units in just 10 days.
In the six months from April to September, Nintendo Switch sold 6.93 million units overall, highlighting the popularity of Lite.
While nintendo's console sales were up nearly 40 percent from a year earlier, nintendo's overall sales profit rose 53.4 percent to 94.2 billion yen
On the other hand, its final profit was 4% lower than the same period last year because of the strong yen.
